About this event

Saltum Klassikeren is a late-season gun-start race in the far north of Jutland, where the first rider across the line wins and both mountain bikers and gravel riders share the same morning. Everything gathers at the NOLS hall and the lake just west of it, with free coffee before the start and coffee and cake once the racing is done.

The terrain mixes forest paths, gravel roads, singletrack and some tarmac. The mountain bike loops borrow sections of the Gateway Blokhus trails and are marked on the ground, while the gravel routes are less rough and completely unmarked: riders follow the GPX file on their own device, which gives the gravel side a navigational, self-reliant flavour.

It is a local, club-scale event with a friendly feel: e-bikes are welcome, there are prizes for men and women on every distance, timing comes from DGI Nordjylland, and a prize draw at bib collection adds a little extra to the day.
