A coastal ride in the Delta de l'Ebre estuary, where rice paddies meet the Mediterranean. Six distances on offer, culminating in the Voltor: nearly 500 km and 9,000 m of climbing.
The variety is the appeal. Flat, fast levee roads and farm tracks at sea level; serious climbing inland; then back to the coast for the run-in. Wind off the Delta is its own challenge in the exposed sections - pacing across both regimes is what the day rewards.
The Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre is the visual hook: protected wetland, major bird area, rice fields cut through with irrigation channels. Worth lingering for whether you race or roll through it.
One of the few major Catalan gravel events south of Tarragona, and arguably the most varied terrain on the calendar - sea-level dirt and mountain vert in a single ride.
