About this event

The Schönbuch Trophy is a weekend of racing in and around Herrenberg, with the bike races on Saturday and trail runners taking over on Sunday. Its gravel race was added in 2026 to celebrate the event's tenth edition, and it runs on its own course, separate from the mountain bike race that sets off later the same day.

The gravel course is about 85 percent unpaved, following forest and gravel roads through the woods of the Schönbuch nature park. For forestry reasons the route maps are only published shortly before race day, so most riders meet the course fresh, which suits a short, punchy spring race with official timing and age-group rankings.

It is organised by Event Service Stahl, a Sindelfingen events company behind a whole calendar of local runs, triathlons and bike races in the region, and the entry includes food on course and at the finish, a finisher gift and a certificate.
