About this event

Shelter Attack is an off-road bikepacking route from Flensburg through the south of Denmark, threaded along the country's well-developed network of shelters. Its creator Nils, who also runs the Hackenpedder route in Schleswig-Holstein, calls it Hackenpedder's little neighbour.

The route strings together Baltic fjords, the country's highest point, endless gravel roads and sandy dunes, until a wide beach suddenly opens up. The first day already bites, with the climbs around Kollund and a view over the Baltic from Skamlingsbanken, and after it riders choose between the full loop and a shortcut.

Riders are self-supported, but on the group start they can meet again at pre-booked shelters, organised through a WhatsApp community, and share a campfire with those who arrive later. Tickets are split equally between men and women/FLINTA* riders to make the field more diverse.
