About this event

The Sparkassen Gravel Gellersen brings an early-season gravel race to Kirchgellersen in Lower Saxony, where riders tackle a loop around the Einemhofer Forst twice, starting and finishing just outside the village on the road towards Einemhof.

It is a proper amateur race run under German Cycling's gravel rules: riders start in waves by expected finishing time, carry a timing transponder on the seatpost and face a cut-off after the first lap. Gravel bikes and mountain bikes are both welcome, e-bikes and aero bars are not, and littering outside the feed zone means instant disqualification.

The race is run by MW Sport-Events, based in Kirchgellersen itself, and heads into its third edition in 2027. Feeds on the course and at the finish, a bike service on the event ground and a finisher gift are part of the package.
