About this event
Stradembrecciade takes its name from the 'strade imbrecciate', the gravel lanes that criss-cross the hills of the Marche, and sets out to show them off around Filottrano, between the provinces of Ancona and Macerata. It is run by Progetto Gravel, an association founded in 2023 by riders who spent decades in historic Marche cycling clubs before swapping racing for gravel and bikepacking.
The weekend is non-competitive and built around a base camp where riders can sleep in a shared marquee, pitch their own tent or park a van, with a group dinner on the Friday for those who arrive early. You can ride a single day, the whole weekend or the bikepacking format, and the organisers credit the network of local people and businesses who back the project for making it possible.
