About this event

In June 1894 a distance ride linked Milan and Munich over the Brenner, and snow fell on the pass. The Supergrevet brings that pioneering crossing back on gravel and mountain tracks: one shared start in Milan, one line across the Alps, no support crew and no classification, just riders carrying what they need and finding their own way to the finish.

The route climbs out of the Po Valley to Lake Garda, threads through the Dolomites and crosses the high Klammljoch before rejoining the historic axis at the Brenner, where the Brennerhaus once served as a control station of the 1894 ride. From there it runs past the Walchensee and down into Munich. The high Alpine core asks for wide tyres and easy gears, and the hardest part is often the fatigue that builds after several days and nights in the saddle.

It is organised by Grevet, a Berlin team that revives the forgotten long-distance rides of the late 19th century, among them Vienna to Berlin and Basel to Kleve. Every line is scouted on the ground, and riders receive handbooks on planning, equipment and navigation before the start.
