About this event

In 1893 the pioneers of long-distance cycling rode from Vienna to Berlin in about 31 hours, on roads that were not yet paved. The Supergrevet Vienna Berlin follows their line today on gravel and forest tracks, as a self-supported ride with a shared start in Vienna-Floridsdorf and no ranking.

The route leaves the city through the Weinviertel and the Thaya valley, crosses the Bohemian highlands and Lusatia, and ends on Berlin's Tempelhofer Feld. It is designed so that riders who have completed a Grevet series have a realistic chance of reaching the finisher party, though the organisers are clear that nothing is guaranteed.

Supergrevet is the long-distance branch of the Grevet series, built on a simple idea: no escort, no support crew, no safety net. You plan, you decide and you arrive, meeting tiredness, hunger, weather and doubt along the way.
