About this event

The Todi Bailey Gravel takes its name from the iron Bailey bridge where it starts: a span built by the Allies over the Arno in 1943 and rebuilt over the Tiber at Todi after the war. Umbria's regional tourism board describes the bridge as the event's starting and finishing point, and the organisers tell its story on their own site.

From there the routes climb into the green hills around Todi on white roads, linking historic villages and old fountains before returning to town. It is a non-competitive ride with no rankings, run by the BKE Cycling Team from nearby Deruta, so the pace is yours to set and the reward is the Umbrian countryside rather than a time.
