About this event
The Transilvania Bike Trails Race, TBT Race to its regulars, is a mountain bike race wrapped inside a five-day village festival in Saschiz, in the Saxon heartland of Transylvania. Its organisers, the NoMad Multisport club and the ADEPT Transilvania foundation, pitch it as far more than a race: cultural tours, workshops, concerts, camping and local food events fill the days around the main race, and a kids' race closes the weekend.
The courses use the Transilvania Bike Trails network, a web of cobbled and winding paths that ADEPT built to link the Saxon villages around Sighișoara, passing fortified churches and UNESCO-listed monuments on the way. Mountain bikes are the norm, but the medium course also has its own gravel category, and from 2026 women gravel riders got a classification of their own.
