About this event
Trentino Gravel is a self-supported gravel bikepacking week that loops out of Rovereto and climbs into the heart of the Dolomites. There is no clock and no ranking: riders carry their own bags, decide how many days to spend on the road, and stop for the night in bike-friendly hotels, B&Bs and mountain huts, where Trentino's hospitality and food do the rest.
The loops leave the shores of Lake Garda for Madonna di Campiglio beneath the Brenta Dolomites, Val di Sole and Val di Non, while the longer options head past Lake Molveno, through Val di Fiemme and the Paneveggio forest to the Pale di San Martino, topping out near Col Margherita. Up high the route follows forest and farm tracks across woods and pastures; down in the valleys Trentino's cycle paths stitch one valley to the next away from traffic. For the second edition the organisers have added the Passo Cinque Croci in the Lagorai range.
It is run by Bike Adventure Series, the team behind the Tuscany Trail, who scouted the track for two years before the first edition. That 2026 Pioneer Edition filled in under half an hour and brought riders from more than 25 countries; half of them were over 48, and almost one in seven was on a first ever bikepacking trip.
