Ultraïa

A 1,400 km self-supported crossing of Iberia, from the Basque Country to the south of Spain, from 25 September to 1 October 2027.

Ultraïa is an ultra-cycling adventure from the team behind Desertus Bikus, pitched as a journey first and a performance second. The course climbs around 13,000 m over roughly six and a half days, mostly on quiet roads with 10 to 20% on unpaved tracks.

Riders enter solo or as a duo and navigate on their own between eight mandatory passage points and two checkpoints. There is no assistance along the way: the challenge is amateur, fully autonomous, and built around the community that forms on the road.
