About this event
UltraLajkonik is a gravel ultra through the foothills of Lesser Poland and Subcarpathia, a landscape of countless climbs cut by river valleys, vineyards and forests. The organisers say they rode almost 5,000 km looking for the most rewarding line, and they deliberately keep its best places a surprise for riders to discover on the way.
The start, finish and the evenings in between happen at the Stalownik holiday centre in Bartkowa, right on the shore of Lake Rożnowskie. The event is held in May, when, in the organisers' words, the hills smell of blossoming fruit trees.
UltraLajkonik is organised by the ULTRAdventure association, led by Marcin Grudziński, who also helps run the Kraków riding community Krakowska Karoozela. According to the Polish retailer Centrum Rowerowe, the 2025 edition drew more than a hundred gravel and road riders.
