About this event

Wisełka 500 is the shorter sibling of Wisła 1200, made for riders who want a taste of Poland's great river ride without taking two weeks off. It follows the lower Vistula from Warsaw to Gdańsk, past riverside villages, medieval towns and long stretches of flood embankment, and ends with a swim in the Baltic.

The idea came during a winter relay along the Vistula, when the organisers rode the Toruń to Warsaw stage and agreed that the lower river is the most beautiful part. Any bike is allowed, and the organisers pitch it as a great trip for a family pair as well as for fast racers.

2027 is the tenth edition of Wisła 1200, so Wisełka gets a flexible start on one of two days, timed so that finishers of every distance meet in Gdańsk for a big pasta party and the Wisła 1200 festival. It is run by Polskie Kolarstwo Przygodowe, the Polish adventure cycling team that has organised bikepacking races since 2017.
