About this event
Zagori Mountain Running bills itself as the biggest mountain running race in Greece, and it has now been running for sixteen years. Its flagship, the TeRA ultra, is described by runners as the most popular ultra trail in the country, with shorter races alongside it for every level.
The races cross Zagori in Epirus, a distinct geographic, historical and architectural unit of 46 villages, each with its own natural beauty. Runners return for the scenery as much as the competition, which is strong at the front of the field.
Regulars say what sets it apart is that the race has a face: an organisation with high standards that keeps athletes coming back to the villages behind the mountain year after year.
