About this event
Znojmo Gravel Ride is the vineyard round of the Decathlon Gravel Series, tied to the Kolo pro Život Znojmo Burčák Tour festival in south Moravia. It is one of the fastest courses in the series, a start-to-finish race mostly on wide field tracks and small paved roads that thread between the vines.
This is a ride that leans into its region: the aid station serves burčák, the young fermenting wine of the harvest season, to the sound of a cimbalom band, and the festival around it keeps a full programme going for families all weekend. The finish is at the grounds of the historic Louka monastery in Znojmo.
The series is organised jointly by Petr Čech Sport and Kolo pro Život, with the stated aim of celebrating gravel riding rather than chasing points, so come to race, to ride, or simply to spend a good day among gravel and wine.
