The route

A 94 km loop through the three natural parks tracing the coast north of Barcelona: Serralada de Marina, Serralada Litoral, and Montnegre i el Corredor.

The first 38 km follow the coastal road up to Arenys de Mar - a tarmac warm-up with the sea on your right. From Arenys the route turns inland and climbs onto the Maresme ridge, where the surface flips to gravel and forest track. You can ride for an hour without crossing another rider. The payoff is a ridgeline view back over the Mediterranean and the Barcelona skyline, with the Tres Xemeneies and the Sagrada Família rising out of the haze.

Two water stops along the route: Dosrius (km 52) and Coll de Montalegre (km 78). Both can dry up in summer - carry more than you think you need.
